Artist's Description
The Bald Eagles fly past our cabin often and I wait patiently for his wings to spread so I can take a full flying photo. Photograph taken in Wisconsin.
The Bald Eagle has been the national emblem of the United States since 1782 and a spiritual symbol for native people for far longer than that. These regal birds aren’t really bald, but their white-feathered heads gleam in contrast to their chocolate-brown body and wings. Look for them soaring in solitude, chasing other birds for their food, or gathering by the hundreds in winter. Once endangered by hunting and pesticides, Bald Eagles have flourished under protection
About Charlene Adler
Charlene Adler is a native of Wisconsin and lives in both Wisconsin and Texas. As a retired teacher, having taught for 25 years, Art has always been a way to express myself whether it be oil painting or photography. To be able to capture an eagle in flight, a flower just blooming or a hummingbird flying is a joy to my heart. All my work is my own. I enjoy showing my photographs as taken or enhancing some with digital art. I think this saying by Carl Sandburg applies to a photographer looking for the perfect shot. "I'm an Idealist. I don't know where I'm going but I'm on my way." http://charlene-adler.artistwebsites.com/
