Photograph taken in LaCrosse, Wisconsin
The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe rises above the town of La Crosse, Wisconsin, on a hill. A small paved road climbs the hill from the entrance and gift shop. As you walk, this meditation trail takes you to shrines and a Votive Candle Chapel, the Shrine Church, and a Memorial to the Unborn. Then, it splits into a Rosary Walk and a Stations of the Cross path that circle back to the trail.
There are many churches throughout the world dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, but the Wisconsin Shrine stands out in its beauty.
About Charlene Adler
Charlene Adler is a native of Wisconsin and lives in both Wisconsin and Texas. As a retired teacher, having taught for 25 years, Art has always been a way to express myself whether it be oil painting or photography. To be able to capture an eagle in flight, a flower just blooming or a hummingbird flying is a joy to my heart. All my work is my own. I enjoy showing my photographs as taken or enhancing some with digital art. I think this saying by Carl Sandburg applies to a photographer looking for the perfect shot. "I'm an Idealist. I don't know where I'm going but I'm on my way." http://charlene-adler.artistwebsites.com/
